Victoria Julio Salon landing page, information, promotional and content management website
Victoria Julio is a local salon based in Bandung, Indonesia. To meet the need for information, promotion and salon management, the Victoria Julio salon website was created. This management website build so the admin can update the content of the website periodically and maintain the website all by themselves without needing any developer or IT technician.
Victoria Julio's website was built using NextJS, ReactJS, TailwindCSS, and a PayloadCMS backend and PostgreSQL database. The decision to use PayloadCMS as the backend was due to its robust integration with NextJS, which reduces development time and provides a complete software package, allowing web administrators to easily manage their websites. The decision to use NextJS and React was based on the fact that these frameworks are among the most mature and widely used web frontend frameworks today, possessing comprehensive documentation, and are well-understood by my seniors and me.
This project was assigned and maintained by one of my seniors, Kak Aji (Kak Awe). I acted as a full-stack engineer developing and designing this web system, with support and guidance from Awe. Awe also oversaw the development progress and assisted with the deployment and DevOps processes. The web system uses caching and incremental static rendering (ISR) mechanisms supported by NextJS. When website content is updated, it is pre-built and then cached. This allows public users to experience faster response times without the need for DB queries. These queries are processed by PayloadCMS and manually rebuilt by NextJS and Vercel each time a request arrives.
The website is deployed on Vercel and supported by Cloudflare for DDoS protection and web analytics, and Google Console for web analytics and SEO tools.
